Collection: Infrared Curing Ovens
About Infrared Curing Ovens · Prime Heat HalCon & BGK · Buying Guide · FAQ
Shop electric infrared curing ovens for paint, stain, lacquer, waterborne and powder finishes. This collection covers walk-in halogen IR batch tunnels from Prime Heat and BGK electric infrared booster, flash-off, glass and lab ovens. Infrared heats the coated part directly instead of the air around it, so cure cycles run in minutes, there is no preheat, and the shop stays comfortable. Call 888-714-1410 or email sales to size an oven to your parts, coating and line rate.

Infrared Oven Buying Guide
Prime Heat HalCon Batch Tunnel – Standard
A walk-in halogen IR tunnel for case goods such as cabinets, furniture and panels. One PLC program runs heated-air flash, medium-wave and short-wave IR. Lengths: 6 ft, 9 ft, 12 ft, 15 ft and 18 ft.
Prime Heat HalCon Batch Tunnel – Rack Model
The same tunnel with more halogen elements per length (24 to 54) for rolling-rack loads, so stacked parts cure faster. Lengths: 6 ft, 9 ft, 12 ft, 15 ft and 18 ft.
BGK Electric Infrared Ovens
For conveyorized lines, BGK builds infrared booster ovens that add IR ahead of an existing convection oven, flash-off ovens that drive off solvent or water before cure, and glass oven systems and glass preheat ovens for glass coating and bending lines. The BGK IR Smart Oven is a lab oven for testing your coating and cure schedule in your own facility before you commit to a production oven.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between short-wave and medium-wave infrared for curing?
Medium-wave IR is gentler and is used early in a cycle to bring solvents up to the surface without skinning the film. Short-wave IR penetrates the coating and cures from the inside out, which is why waterborne finishes move to short-wave sooner than solvent-borne ones.
Should I choose the HalCon Standard or Rack batch tunnel?
Choose the Standard for case goods and large parts that sit directly in the tunnel. Choose the Rack model if you load product on rolling drying racks; it carries more halogen elements per length so stacked parts reach temperature faster.
What electrical service does an infrared batch tunnel need?
HalCon batch tunnels run on 480V 3-phase. Draw ranges from 46 A for the 6 ft Standard to 153 A for the 18 ft Rack model, with a 60 to 200 A NEMA 12 disconnect depending on size.
Can an infrared oven be added to an existing convection oven line?
Yes. An IR booster oven mounted ahead of a gas or electric convection oven brings parts to temperature quickly, so the line can run faster or the convection oven can be shorter.
How can I test whether infrared will cure my coating?
The BGK IR Smart Oven runs repeatable time, power and temperature programs on test panels, so you can prove out a cure schedule on your own coating before sizing a production oven.
What is the lead time on an infrared curing oven?
Infrared ovens are built to order. Expect a lead time of 12 to 14 weeks from order confirmation. Installation is scheduled separately, and we can confirm timing for your configuration at 888-714-1410.
