Buying guide
Match ratio to line length + grease grade. Fire-Ball 50:1 handles typical NLGI #2 in short runs (15-25 ft). For long runs, cold shops, or thicker grease grades, step up to Fire-Ball 425 at 75:1 to maintain flow.
Match pump to container size. 35 lb pail, 120 lb keg, and 400 lb drum are the standard Fire-Ball configurations. Also available with follower plates that seat directly on the grease surface, reducing air pockets and improving prime.
FAQ
Q: Fire-Ball 50:1 vs 75:1?
A: 50:1 is fine for most #2 grease dispensing in an in-shop environment. 75:1 gives you extra reserve for cold weather, long overhead runs, or thicker grades like #00 or NLGI 000.
Q: Does the pump come with a hose and control valve?
A: Bare pumps (part numbers ending in specific stock numbers like 239887, 239888, 225781) are pump-only. Complete "Package" or "Stationary" configurations (like 239888) include the pump + hose + control valve + follower plate — check the title for "Package" to know what's bundled.
