FAQ

What is switchboard matting used for?
Switchboard matting is dielectric (electrically insulating) rubber matting placed in front of electrical panels and switchgear, where it adds a layer of protection for the person standing there. Check the product page for the voltage and ASTM D178 class rating.

Anti-static mat or switchboard mat?
They do opposite jobs. Anti-static (ESD) mats such as Diamond Stat and Smooth Stat slowly drain static charge to ground to protect electronics. Switchboard mats insulate a person from electrical current. Never use an ESD mat in front of live electrical equipment.

Which mat should go in a high-traffic aisle?
Runner mats such as Niru Versa Runner, Knob-Top Runner, V-Groove Runner and Diamond Plate are made for walkways and cart traffic. They are thinner and firmer than anti-fatigue mats, so carts roll over them easily.
