Collection: Festool Brand Abrasives

Shop Festool sanding discs and sheets for every Festool sander. Each disc is sized and punched to match its pad so dust pulls straight through to the extractor, which keeps the abrasive cutting longer. Pick the size for your sander and the abrasive line for the material. Call 888-714-1410 or email sales with your sander model and we will match the discs.

Choosing a grit sequence

For raw wood start at 80 or 100, then 120, 150 and 180 (or 220 under a film finish). Between coats of finish, 320 or 400 Brilliant or Granat smooths without cutting through.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Festool abrasive should I use for wood?
Granat is the default for most wood and paint work. Rubin 2 cuts bare and resinous softwood aggressively in coarse grits. Use Brilliant 2 or fine Granat for sanding between finish coats.

Do Festool sanding discs fit Mirka or 3M sanders?
Festool discs use a hook-and-loop backing and fit any hook-and-loop pad of the same diameter, but the hole pattern only lines up with Festool pads. On other brands extraction will be weaker.

What is the difference between Granat and Granat Net?
Granat is a paper-backed disc with punched dust holes. Granat Net is an open mesh, so dust pulls through the entire surface. It lasts longer on fine dust and filler, and fits any pad pattern.

How many Festool discs come in a box?
Most Festool disc boxes contain 50 or 100 for fine grits and 50 for coarse grits. Systainer value sets mix several grits. Check each listing for the exact count.
