Lettered bits increase in size from A–Z. Although not included here, numbered bits (T34127) precede lettered bits in size and range from 60 (smallest) to 1 (largest).
These bits are made of M35 HSS alloy, containing 5% cobalt, allowing increased hardness compared to regular HSS (high-speed steel) drill bits. This hardness helps maintain the cutting-edge sharpness and extends the lifespan of the drill bits.
Additionally, the 5% cobalt enhances the drill bits' heat resistance, allowing them to withstand higher temperatures during drilling. This is particularly beneficial when drilling into tough and hard materials.
The fully ground flutes of these drill bits provide improved cutting results, greater chip evacuation, and minimized heat production to avoid workpiece damage.
