1. Belt size — this dictates what you can do
Wider belts remove more material per pass. Longer belts stay cooler under continuous load, last longer per belt-life, and give more grinding surface between motor and workpiece for better finish quality. Here's the mapping most buyers wish they'd known before their first purchase:
