The EMAX Silent Air Industrial ESPR07V080V3-460 is a two-stage, pressure-lubricated piston air compressor that pairs a 7.5 HP TEFC electric motor with an 80-gallon vertical tank. It delivers 31 CFM with a maximum pressure of 175 PSI and runs on 460V, 3-phase power. Its patented Silent Air™ noise suppression and cast iron pump make it well suited to industrial facilities that need dependable air in high-stress, continuous-duty environments.
Silent Air™ Noise Suppression
Up to 50% Quieter: The patented Silent Air™ silencer system achieves up to 50% quieter operation, with noise levels at or below conversational volume. Each 10 dBA drop equals a 50% reduction to the human ear.
Service-Friendly Design: Unlike enclosed cabinet systems, which are costly and restrict service access, the silencer is cost-effective, easy to service, and keeps the unit accessible.
Intake Noise Control: The system targets intake noise, the loudest source of compressor sound. It uses noise-reducing baffle plates and high-capacity filter media.
Enhanced Filtration: The intake system provides up to 1000% more filtration than standard setups.
Pressure Lubrication System
Gear-Driven Oil Pump: An oil pump mounted to the rear of the crankshaft generates positive oil pressure. It delivers a continuous flow of oil to each bearing point, keeping bearings cool and reducing friction and internal wear.
Rifle-Drilled Crankshaft & Rods: The crankshaft and connecting rods are rifle-drilled. Oil travels directly to the piston pin, the bearings, and other high-friction wear points.
Spin-On Oil Filter: An automotive-style spin-on oil filter keeps the oil clean and simplifies maintenance during oil changes. The pump holds 2 quarts of oil.
Oil Pressure Gauge: An analog pressure gauge lets operators monitor oil pressure accurately.
Pump Longevity: Estimated pump life is 70,000 hours.
Cast Iron Two-Stage Pump
Cast Iron Construction: The pump (model APP4V1043TP) has a cast iron crankcase, cylinder heads, cylinders, connecting rods, crankshaft, and high-pressure piston. Cast iron offers durability and rigidity that aluminum components cannot match.
Rebuildable Connecting Rods: The CNC-machined solid cast iron connecting rods provide maximum rigidity at the crankshaft end. Replaceable bearing inserts and wrist pins make the rod assembly fully rebuildable.
Four-Ring Piston Design: Each piston uses four overlapping rings. Two oil control rings remove excess oil on the downstroke, and two compression rings prevent blow-by. This design maximizes sealing, reduces oil carryover, and extends ring life.
Balanced Low-Pressure Pistons: The low-pressure pistons are aluminum for balance and efficiency, since they operate under low stress (about 45 PSI).
Non-Oil-Absorbent Gaskets: High-quality gaskets minimize oil leakage and reduce maintenance requirements.
Drive System & Cooling
Heavy-Duty Flywheel: A 20" cast iron flywheel's added mass generates greater kinetic energy, which reduces amp draw and energy consumption. Its 9 large cooling fins enhance pump cooling.
Dual B-Groove Belts: Two B-style groove belts provide a larger contact surface to extend belt life. A belt tensioner is included.
Motor & Pump Speed: The TEFC motor runs at 1,740 RPM, and the pump turns at a low 590 RPM.
Aftercooling: The unit is equipped with a radiator aftercooler and a pump riser.
Electrical, Tank & Installation
Power Requirements: The unit runs on 460V, 3-phase power. It draws 10.3 FLA (including the 1.15 service factor) and 66.2 locked rotor amps, with a recommended 20A breaker.
Magnetic Starter: A magnetic starter is included, with a fixed start type.
Automatic Tank Drain: An automatic drain is fitted to the 80-gallon vertical tank, which has a 3/4" outlet.
Certifications: The compressor is ETL, ASME, and CRN certified.
Maintenance: The compatible service kit is EFKIT008AWBS.
