The EMAX ESPR15V120Y3-208 is an industrial Silent Air™ air compressor with a 15 HP motor delivering 38 CFM, mounted on a 120-gallon vertical tank and wired for 3-phase 208V power. It combines a patented noise suppression system with a 100% cast iron pressure-lubricated pump. It also includes an auto drain and aftercoolers. It suits shops with 3-phase 208V service that need quieter operation in demanding, high-stress, continuous-duty environments.
Silent Air™ Noise Suppression
Up to 50% Quieter: The patented Silent Air™ silencer system achieves up to 50% quieter operation, with noise levels at or below conversational volume. Each 10 dBA drop equals a 50% reduction to the human ear.
Service-Friendly Design: Enclosed cabinet systems are costly and restrict service access. This silencer is cost-effective, easy to service, and keeps the compressor accessible.
Intake Noise Control: The system targets intake noise, the loudest source of compressor sound. It uses noise-reducing baffle plates and high-capacity filter media.
Enhanced Air Filtration: Provides up to 1000% more filtration than standard setups.
Pressure Lubrication System
Gear-Driven Oil Pump: Mounted to the rear of the crankshaft, the oil pump generates positive oil pressure. It delivers a continuous flow of oil to each bearing point, keeping bearings cool and extending pump life.
Rifle-Drilled Crankshaft & Connecting Rods: Oil flows directly to key wear points, including bearings and other high-friction components. It travels through the crankshaft and up the connecting rod to the piston pin and bearing.
Spin-On Oil Filter: An automotive-style spin-on oil filter keeps the oil clean for maximum longevity and simplifies oil changes.
Analog Oil Pressure Gauge: Lets operators monitor oil pressure accurately.
Critical Components Coverage: Splash-lubricated systems do not deliver oil this precisely. Pressure lubrication puts oil exactly where it is needed, reducing friction, wear, and heat in continuous-duty environments.
100% Cast Iron Pump Construction
Cast Iron Major Components: The crankcase, cylinder heads, cylinders, connecting rods, crankshaft, and high-pressure piston are all cast iron. Cast iron offers durability and rigidity that aluminum components do not.
Cast Iron High-Pressure Pistons: Built to withstand heavy loads and prevent cylinder scoring and pump failure.
CNC-Machined Solid Cast Iron Connecting Rods: Provide maximum rigidity and strength. The design maintains strength at the crankshaft end, which is where aluminum rods commonly fail.
Fully Rebuildable Rods: Replaceable bearing inserts and wrist pins allow a full rebuild of the connecting rod assembly, extending pump life.
Sealing & Efficiency Components
Four-Ring Piston Design: Each piston uses two oil control rings and two compression rings, designed to overlap. The oil control rings remove excess oil on the downstroke, and the compression rings seal under compression to prevent blow-by. This minimizes compression loss, reduces oil carryover, and extends ring life.
Non-Oil-Absorbent Gaskets: High-quality gaskets minimize oil leakage, provide a more reliable seal, and reduce maintenance requirements.
24" Heavy-Duty Cast Iron Flywheel: The 15 HP flywheel has (3) B-style groove belts and 6 large cooling fins. Its increased mass generates greater kinetic energy, reducing amp draw and energy consumption. The multiple belts extend belt life, and the cooling fins enhance pump cooling.
