⚠️ IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Steel Abrasive Use: When using steel abrasives, the Electric Control Handle #2 (888-2263-401PB) and Sealed Connector(s) (PB-31131) are strictly required.
- Power Supply: A 12VDC power supply is required for all 8.0 cu. ft. dual-chamber blasters equipped with pneumatic or electric controls.
The S-Series Dual-Chamber Big-Gun Abrasive Blaster is engineered for high-production, non-stop blasting operations. Designed to maximize efficiency and eliminate downtime, this system ensures a continuous workflow and unparalleled durability in the field.
Features & Benefits
-
High-Capacity 8.0 Cu. Ft. Vessel (225 Liters):
- Upper Chamber: 3.25 cu. ft. (2.69 useable) | Lower Chamber: 4.19 cu. ft. (4.04 useable).
- 150 PSI vessel (10.3 BAR).
- Built to A.S.M.E. Section VIII Division 1 standards with CRN certification for all Canadian provinces.
- Continuous-Blast Dual-Chamber System: Automatically refills while remaining pressurized, drastically increasing productivity by eliminating the need to stop blasting to reload media.
- Big Gun Full Flow System: Provides a zero-pressure-drop path for air and abrasive to travel to the blast nozzle. (Note: Every 1 PSI gained or lost in abrasive blasting equals a 1.5% change in production). A must-have for #7 and #8 nozzles. Features a full-port coupling blast hose connection for an unrestricted flow path.
- 12VDC Electric Controls: Adds vital startup and shutdown speed when running over 100 feet of blast hose. Minimizes freezing problems in cold weather, and includes a heavy-duty filtered control valve to drastically reduce stopping time when the handle is released.
- NEMA 4 Rated Enclosure: Securely houses the dual-chamber cycle controls to protect against harsh weather and debris.
- Corrosion-Resistant Galvanized Piping: Features heavy-duty 1-1/2" piping and a 2" inlet for maximum air volume.
- Premium Valves & Plumbing: Equipped with heavy-duty full-port ball valves and an extended-life Schedule 80 heavy-duty nipple designed to withstand long-term abrasive wear.
- Easy Field Repairs: Built-in bolt clamps on the pusher line make troubleshooting and maintenance simple on-site.
-
Advanced Combination Valve & APVII Valve:
- Combination Valve: A 2-in-1 design responsible for seamlessly cycling the top chamber.
- Automatic Plunger Valve II (APVII): A premium abrasive metering valve with a quadruple plunger seal arrangement. Solves air/abrasive carryover and plunger jamming issues common with low-pressure blasting or steel abrasives. Features a solid machined tungsten carbide plunger & sleeve for superior wear rates, and a 1" NPT cleanout port for easy clog removal or vessel draining without removing the valve.
- 15' Remote Blowdown Hose Assembly: Included for convenient remote mounting setups.
- 9" Adjustable Spider: Fully adjustable for different media types and sizes. When hopper-fed from above, it deflects the abrasive weight off the pop-up, allowing it to close and seal perfectly.
- Skirted Pop-Up Gasket: Purpose-built to knife its way through dense abrasive to guarantee a clean seal. Eliminates the "abrasive burping" problem common in hopper-fed blast pots—essential when using large grit sizes.
- Union End Ball Valves: Allows you to isolate and shut off the abrasive at the bottom of the pot. Perform maintenance or completely remove the abrasive metering valve without dumping the entire vessel of abrasive onto the shop floor.
- Full-Load Lifting Eyes: Rated and positioned to allow for safe lifting, transportation, and precise placement during maintenance or field deployment.
