Hot or Cold water - Hot water can make cleaning greasy difficult surfaces easier than cold water however cold water pressure washers are most common

Pressure - The pressure you need will depend on what you want to clean

• Siding - 2000 PSI and Below
• Decks - 2500 PSI and Below
• Concrete/ Asphalt 3000 PSI or more

Gallons Per Minute - The higher the GPM and Pressure of a Commercial pressure washer the more cleaning power a unit has - look for the most GPM you can afford to buy for higher performance

Pump Type- The two main types of pumps are axial and triplex design pumps. Triplex pumps are designed for more frequent use and are generally the ideal for a commercial pressure washer.

Drive Type - Belt, Gear, or Direct drive.  A belt drive will often be the coolest and longest running washers, consider them for frequent use needs. Gear drive units are similar to a belt drive but are often used when a pump output is large, Gear drives are better than a direct drive but usually slightly below a belt.
