The tanks are built to ASME specifications. Also certified for vacuum operation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePREPARATION\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMix and prepare material to be used according to manufacturer’s instructions. Strain material through a fine mesh screen to remove lumps, skin, and foreign matter that might enter and clog fluid passages and\/or spray equipment.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFollow pressure relief procedure above. To add material to the tank, remove the lid and pour directly into the tank or container.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf desired, a U.S. or metric 1 gallon pail of fluid can be placed directly into the tank.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReplace the lid assembly and tighten thumb screws securely.\u003cbr\u003eThe air supply to the tank should include a filter\/water separator to filter dirt from the air and remove water and oil.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eConnect the material hose to the fluid outlet ball valve.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOPERATION\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eClose the air inlet valve to tank. Turn handle on regulator counterclockwise until spring tension is relieved.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn on air supply to the tank.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eOpen the air inlet valve to the tank.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eOpen the fluid outlet valve.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn handle on tank pressure regulator clockwise to pressurize tank.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn on atomization air to spray gun at source of supply.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTest spray. For further instructions consult literature provided with spray gun.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ef an air motor driven agitator is used, start the agitator by slowly opening up the needle valve. Air motor speed should be regulated according to the nature of the material being agitated.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMAINTENANCE\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eTo clean equipment, proceed as follows:\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn off the air supply.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eFollow the pressure relief procedure.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn T-handle adjusting screw on tank fluid pressure regulator counterclockwise until no spring pressure is felt.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLoosen thumb screws, tip clamps back and tip lid to one side of tank. Do not remove lid from tank.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eLoosen spray gun air cap retaining ring about three turns.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn on air supply.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCup cloth over air cap on the gun and pull trigger. This will force material back through the hose into the tank.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eEmpty and clean tank and parts that come into contact with material. Use a solvent compatible with material being used.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePour solvent into tank.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eReplace lid and tighten thumb screws and clamps.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSpray until clean solvent appears.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRepeat steps 4 through 8.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLUBRICATION\u003c\/strong\u003e – Agitated Models\u003cbr\u003eRefer to the service manual provided with the air motor for lubrication information.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bearings in the agitator bearing assembly are impregnated with special non-gumming oil.
